Beautiful story, really needed to read this today ❤️. And you have great stage presence by the way😀

I really loved this post! What magical timing for both of those transitions — actor to author, and then the close of one chapter and the start of another. Also, now I'm imagining you in the Jeremy Jordan role in Supergirl!

Thanks, Kathryn! Yeah, you can re-shoot the series in your mind to feature me.

Life is surely a surprising, mystifying, convoluted experience, right? Thanks for sharing the ups and downs, the acceptance and, especially the “signs” that are given to help one through. Everything happens for a reason…….

PS I’m keeping my Denton books in a secret place so they will be available when my grandgirls are of age to read them😊. Just hope I remember where I put them when the time comes!

So mystifying! Thank YOU for reading, Julie. And thanks for holding onto those Dentons! Can't wait to hear what they think. :)

As much as it hurts to read this - Denton will always remain alive in my classroom for as long as I teach (and longer through my many students who have read and loved his story)! Thank you for these two books that - truly - helped me to become the teacher I am today and legitimize my nontraditional, independent-reading-focused approach in the high school classroom. Denton will always hold a special place in my heart and I have no doubt I’ll still be promoting these two books in my classroom every semester until the end of my career.

This is so meaningful, Lauren. Thank you. And thank you so much for all the support for Denton since the beginning and for continuing to share it with your classes. Denton's presence in your Battle of the Books has always brought me so much joy.
